Alyssa Myers

Alyssa joined Harris Divorce and Family Law in January of 2020. Alyssa earned her Juris Doctor and a Masters degree in Education at Georgia State University.


While in law school, Alyssa was an active member of the Family Law Society and served as a student member of the Welton Family Law Inn of Court.  During an internship with a local family law attorney, Alyssa developed her passion for family law.  During her third year of law school, Alyssa interned with the Honorable Jane C. Barwick of the Superior Court of Fulton County, Family Division, where she observed numerous court proceedings and conducted extensive and complex research on the subject of family law.   Alyssa was awarded the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Family Law in 2016. 


Alyssa co-founded the Georgia State University Student Animal Legal Defense Fund (SALDF) and was the chapter President for three years. Alyssa became a prosecutor after law school but made the switch to family law in 2018.  


Alyssa is, currently, a member of the Family Law Section of the State Bar of Georgia and the Atlanta Bar Association.  Alyssa is available to serve as a Guardian ad Litem in Forsyth County.
